Demarcus A. Fowler

DeMarcus graduated from Matoaca High School with an advanced studies diploma and a GPA of 3.74. He is majoring in mass communications at Virginia State University with plans to pursue a profession that will enable him to creatively utilize his skills in photography and videography.

At Matoaca High, DeMarcus was enrolled in honors and advanced placement courses each of the four years. He was on the A and B honor roll and a member of the National Honor Society. He was a volunteer for the Matoaca High tennis team, the Chesterfield Metro Area National Council of Negro Women, Matoaca media personnel, and for the Matoaca High School Little Feet Meet 2023 – 2024 (event for elementary school children with developmental disabilities).

In addition to his photography/videography talents and a variety of computer skills, DeMarcus attained the W!SE Financial Literacy Certification and the Workplace Readiness Industry Credential while in high school. He also worked as a clerk at a Publix Grocery Store. His resume describes DeMarcus as having a good work ethic as well as being a fast learner, responsible and creative. DeMarcus says his hobbies and interests are photography, videography, basketball, video games, sports cars and shopping
