Tamia graduated from Meadowbrook High School, N. Chesterfield, VA and is attending the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. At Meadowbrook, Tamia was a member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, the Beta Club, the Interact Club and the Marching Band's Color Guard.

Her community activities: Peer to Peer Tutoring; House of Prayer; and A Giving Heart. She enjoys drawing, reading, philosophy, astronomy, painting, video games and jogging. Her parents are William and Leticia Penn.
