DEACON MARY K. MARSHALL

Mary Kennedy Marshall is a native of Dallas, North Carolina and currently resides in Chesterfield, VA with her husband, Theodore Stanley Marshall, of 43 years. They are the proud parents of Stacey Marshall Aris and son-in-law Javon Artis of Chesterfield, VA.

Mrs. Marshall has six sisters: Carlenia Brown of Gastonia, NC; Johnnie Thompson of Huntsville, AL; Gloria Mathews of Dallas, NC; Tommie Pleasure of Washington, DC; Joann Gilbert of Rialto, CA; and Shirley Perry of Macon, GA. She has over 20 foster grandchildren.

Mrs. Marshall has a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education from North Carolina A & T University, Greensboro, NC with further studies at Virginia State University and Virginia Tech.

Mrs. Marshall was a high school teacher for more than 14 years and is presently a self-employed Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, being in the business for 39 years.

She is the founder of Fabulous 50 & Beyond, an organization where older women help to develop and mentor young women. Mary is a singer-songwriter with two published "In the Word Praise" CDs. She has written over 30 songs and 10 are published.

Being a member of Union Branch Baptist Church, she currently serves on the Usher's Ministry, Sunday School Ministry, Senior Ministry and Community Outreach. Above all else, Mary loves God and the challenge of helping others see God's grace in their own lives by proclaiming that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
